  26. Outline of Pre-history and History - This National Parks Service informational gateway covers historical sites in the Southeastern United States and the Caribbean areas. Extremely interesting.
  27. Canku Ota - Canku Ota (Many Paths) provides a nice collection of links to articles about Native American history. Canku Ota also features information on Native American Nations, Languages, Traditions, Art, Music, and much more.
  28. Smithsonian History and Culture Page - Part of the Smithsonian Museum collection of historical and cultural resources.
  29. The San Diego BLAACK Pages - The BLAACK (Basic Link to African American Community Knowledge) Pages are a great source of information on Black American History.

  36. Hyper History Online - presents 3,000 years of World History with a combination of colorful graphics, lifelines, timelines, and maps.  Over a 1,200 files are interconnected throughout the website.
  37. Southeast Archeological Center - A fantastic site developed by the National Parks Service. It covers all periods of history and is filled with information, pictures, and links. You must visit it.
  38. A Walk Through Time: The Evolution of Time Measurement - An authoritative history of timekeeping posted by the National Institute of Standards and Time Physics Laboratory.
  39. Discoverers Web - A no nonsense collection of links to sites found on the web about voyages of discovery and exploration. Covers all time periods.
  40. African-American Mosaic - A resource guide for the study of Black American history and culture from the Library of Congress.
  41. American Life Histories - The life, views, and work of 2,900 common American men and women collected by the Library of Congress. Many were born before 1900, and paint a picture of American life.
  42. American Memory Collection - Extremely interesting and informative set of exhibits covering the whole of American culture collected by the Library of Congress.
  43. Art History Resources on the Web - is the gateway to the art masterpieces of the ages. Fantastic collection of links divided into time periods.
  44. Links to the Past" - This to the gateway to all the National Parks Service sites. It is an gold mine of information on almost any period of U.S. History.
  45. The Costume Page - A page with over 2,000 links to web sites about changing clothing styles throughout history.
  46. The Remington-Alberta Carriage Centre - houses one of the largest collections of horse-drawn vehicles in North America, with over 200 carriages, wagons and sleighs.
  47. History of Medicine - An image archive of nearly 60,000 illustrations from the U.S. National Library of Medicine.
  48. Historical Women - Biographies of dozens of noted women from many nations
  49. Native American Resources - a nice collection of links to Native American sites
  50. American Immigration - A serious look at immigration to America from 1607 to the present. (Excellent Student Project).

  52. Historical Flags - web page dedicated to our country's flags, with a definite southern basis, not very surprising since the page belongs to the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Complete with a soundtrack of "Dixie" songs. (I'm not sure if they know the Civil War is over yet).  Also has American Revolution flags, Confederate Flags, State Flags, and Flags of the Union.

  3. Teotihuacan Archaeology Home Page - This site contains all kinds of information about the ancient city of Teotihuacan. It is a growing site that you should revisit often!

  5. Tempo Mayor - This site museum preserves, exhibits and publicizes information on archaeological materials excavated over the course of several seasons of work conducted by the Templo Mayor Project, from 1978 to the present.
  6. Ice Treasures Of The Inca - This particular site recreates an expedition in the Andes. Beautiful pictures, maps, and journals, as well as a discussion of prehistory and anthropology.
  7. Native American Mythology - Part of the Encyclopedia Mythicathe, an award-winning internet encyclopedia of mythology, folklore, and religion.

  10. Pottery from Mexico's Oaxaca Regions - This visually impressive site describes the artistic skills which have been used for centuries to make pottery in the Oaxaca region of southern Mexico. There are design examples, lots of pictures, and other information.
  11. Rabbit in the Moon - Central American Mayan hieroglyphic writing is the subject of this interesting site. Learn to write in glyphs, and marvel at the Mayan calendar.
